Join us at the taproom on Thursday the 14th of April as we launch 'We Are Here' and host some great talks in The Tank Room. We'll also be unveiling more details on our scholarships in partnership with Brewlab.
The beer will launch from 5:00 PM, with speakers and discussion from 7:00 PM.

Brian Yorston
Course Manager, Brewlab
Brian has been a working brewer for over 40 years, producing beer for large complex organisations and start-up microbreweries. He will be presenting an introduction of Brewlab, the courses offered, and we'll be unveiling the scholarship opportunities.
Alison Douglas
Laboratory Manager & Business Development Coordinator, Brewlab
Alison has managed the laboratory and yeast banks at Brewlab for over 20 years. Prior to this she enjoyed 17 years working between the physical chemistry, microbiology, and analytical laboratories at Vaux brewery here in Sunderland.
Alison will also be leading a sensory tasting of the We Are Here beer.
Co-Owner & Head Brewer of First & Last Brewery, Founder of StuBrew, Graduate of Brewlab
Red and partner Sam established their family business in the rural landscape of North Northumberland, brewing a range of seasonal foraged beers using hedgerow ingredients, hand-picked from around the county.
Sandy Tse
Brewer at Full Circle, Project Worker at StuBrew, Graduate of Brewlab
Sandy is currently involved in two brewing projects with very different aims and goals within Newcastle. A brewer at Full Circle, since the brewery opened in November 2019 and she is also Project Worker for Stu Brew. Stu Brew is Europe’s first student-run microbrewery based at Newcastle University.
Sandy also completed courses at Brewlab and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Brewing & Distilling through Heriot-Watt University.
