Event: Each speaker will have the floor for 10-15 minutes. We’ll also introduce the three beers for the tasting throughout so you don’t go thirsty. After all of our speakers have chatted, we will open the panel up to questions.
The Pink Boots Society’s mission is to assist, inspire, and encourage women in the fermented/alcoholic beverages industry through education. Portions of all sales of the collaboration will be donated to the Pink Boots Society. We brewed the beer on International Women’s Day (8th March), virtually with a group of 17 women who helped collaborate on the style, recipe, name and design of the beer. Kindred is a 5.1% New England Pale Ale, using the Yakima Hop blend consisting of Cashmere, Ahtanum, Citra, Loral & Sabro, which gives us beautiful tropical and citrus notes in a very juicy sessionable beer. The label was designed by the extremely talented designer and illustrator, Laura Sheldon who is based in Newcastle and her work can be found at http://www.laurasheldon.co.uk/

Vicky Morgan – Owner of The Dead Crafty Beer Company. If you’re in Liverpool, Dead Crafty is a must. They were rightfully awarded SIBA’s 2020 UK’s best independent craft beer bar (city category).Over the past 5 years, Dead Crafty have created a place that’s welcoming and where everyone is treated equally. It’s great to see women getting heavily into craft beer, which is what Dead Crafty has witnessed as women have, on occasion, outnumbered the men in the bar. However, there is still the stigma of women in beer as Vicky has experienced male customers insisting on the male bartender’s beer opinions over hers. Gender bias and sexism is something all women in the beer industry face but Vicky is here to tell you: she knows what she’s doing.
Siobhan Hewison – Owner of British Beer Girl. A freelance writer and editor, specialising in beer and travel. She lives in beautiful Edinburgh with her wife Callie, their cats Neo and Simcoe, and their gerbil Teku. She loves learning about beer, brewing beer, and all the traditions behind it. Currently, Siobhan is working her way through the Cicerone qualifications!
